Configure calling on your inbox

WhatsApp calling is configured inbox by inbox. You need a WhatsApp Cloud inbox (connected through Meta) and the calling feature enabled on your account (included from the Growth plan). 1. Go to Settings → Inboxes and open your WhatsApp inbox. 2. Open the Configuration tab and scroll down to the WhatsApp Calling section. The options are loaded straight from Meta, so they can take a few seconds to appear. 3. Tick Enable calling on this number so customers can call you on WhatsApp. 4. Under Call icon, choose whether the call button shows in the customer's WhatsApp chat (Visible) or is hidden (Hidden everywhere). 5. If you want to call customers back, tick Ask callers for callback permission: when a customer calls you, WhatsApp asks them to allow calls from your number. 6. Click Save calling settings. This button saves only this section; the Update button on the Settings tab doesn't touch it. WhatsApp Calling section on the inbox's Configuration tab Meta only allows calling on numbers with a messaging limit of at least 2,000 unique customers per day. If your number's limit is lower, Meta rejects the change. Who gets the call alert When a call comes in, HellouOne rings in this order: 1. If the conversation already has an assigned agent, only that agent rings. 2. If nobody is assigned, the inbox collaborators who are online ring. 3. If none of them is online, every collaborator on the inbox plus the account administrators ring, so no call goes unanswered in silence. Make sure the agents who take calls are on the inbox's Collaborators tab and have their status set to Online. How a call is answered from the browser: WhatsApp calls from the browser. If you don't see the WhatsApp Calling section, the feature isn't enabled on your account (it's included from the Growth plan) or the inbox isn't WhatsApp Cloud. Write to support@hellou.ai.

Calls: history and live board

If your plan includes telephony (the HellouOne dialer), your agents make and take calls from the same dashboard where they chat, and the account gains two pages: the Call history and the Call center board. Open them from the phone icon in the side rail. (WhatsApp calls are a different thing and have their own article.) The dialer The green phone button at the bottom right opens the dialer: dial a number or search a contact, and during the call you can mute, hold and transfer. When a call comes in, it rings in the browser of the available agents. The microphone must be allowed for one.hellou.ai in your browser. Call history The call history Every inbound or outbound call is recorded with date, contact (if the number is in your contacts), the agent's extension, origin, destination, direction, status (answered, unanswered, busy…), duration and, if your phone system records it, the recording to listen to or download. Filter by text, direction, status, agent or date range, and use Download CSV to take the result into a spreadsheet. Call center board The call center board Meant for a big screen in the office: calls waiting, available agents, active calls and agents wrapping up, plus the agent list with their status. It refreshes by itself. The same block appears in Reports → Overview as Live call center, and Reports → Calls summarises the period (answered, missed, average duration, per agent). How calls are billed Calls are charged per minute according to your plan and drawn from the balance you see in Billing. You can top up and see the usage detail there. If you don't see these pages Telephony is switched on by the HellouOne team when you buy a plan with voice: your extensions and number have to be created. Write to us from Settings → Billing → Chat with us and we will set it up.
